Artist Statement
I create oil paintings that explore the power of femininity, the strength of the female body, and the freedom to exist without censorship. In my work, the female figure stops being an object and becomes an independent force, claiming space with confidence and unapologetic presence.
I speak from within feminine power, creating works from my own experience of the body, emotion, and freedom.
My architectural education shaped my vision: the canvas is a spatial field where light, rhythm, and structure follow the movement of the female body. The female line is not decorative—it is foundational.
My work attracts collectors with its clarity, the warmth of oil, and a rare ability to portray feminine nature with honesty, boldness, and an unfiltered emotional truth.
MY BIO
Anastasiia Skisova, 32, is a contemporary figurative artist and designer born in Russia and shaped by the strong tradition of Russian academic painting and architectural education.
Her practice merges classical oil techniques with a modern, minimalist approach to form. Skisova’s work centers on the female figure, the dynamics of gesture, and the emotional architecture of the body.
Through reduced form, light, and structured composition, she explores inner states and the tension held within them.
She lives and works in Miami, developing new series and research-based projects within contemporary figurative art.
